Mecano B002 Denim

The Mecano B002 is cut from a black Japanese selvedge, woven on vintage shuttle looms from a single-origin cotton grown in Burkina Faso. A single source gives an even fibre and a regular yarn throughout the cloth. The denim is then finished smooth: its surface takes on a quiet, almost satin sheen, and its hand has a softness rare in selvedge. The black, deep at first, softens over the years towards slate grey.

Its slanted front pockets, borrowed from the trouser, merge into the side seams: they keep the front clean and give the jean a look at once relaxed and elegant. The leg falls straight, in a simple line that suits any occasion. Button fly; at the back, two patch pockets carry the BOZO stitching. Deer leather patch, pressed by hand.
